Hackers are reportedly using Google Collection tool to spread phishing by hiding malicious links within legitimate sites. Harmony Email researchers claim that hackers are using Google pages to send links to fake cryptocurrency sites, using social engineering and BEC 3.0 techniques to trick users into giving up sensitive information. Hackers are using email to harvest user credentials. The report also notes that Google was informed about this on July 5th. In order to identify such emails, users should keep an eye out for “This content is neither created nor endorsed by Google” on the bottom of the page.
